Fiber To The Home

Providing lightning-speed connectivity

Two new projects planned for the City of Hilliard will bring fiber-optic internet access to homes during the construction phase.

The City of Hilliard’s first fiber to the home (FTTH) project, Hill Farm, currently is under construction at Scioto Darby and Elliott roads. This project, being developed by M/I Homes, will ultimately directly connect optical fiber to 260 homes. These homes will be connected to the City’s carrier-neutral fiber backbone, permitting multiple providers to have immediate access to this new community and offering homeowners multiple choices of internet service providers.

TruePointe, a $100-plus million mixed-use development on 23.5 acres on Truman Boulevard, will be the first large-scale development in the City that includes fiber-optic internet access as a utility in the construction phase. Now in the design phase, Hilliard-based developer Equity plans to include more than 350 residential units, more than 300,000 square feet of office space, a four-story hotel, retail space and more than two miles of walking trails.
