Good news for motorists on Hilliard’s west side. The Cosgray Road and Woodsview Way roundabout opens to automobile traffic Friday.
The new single-lane roundabout is Hilliard’s 16th roundabout and will greatly enhance traffic flow, improve safety, and slow traffic in this busy residential area. Plus, the project also includes an extension of a shared-use path on the west side of the street south to Scioto Darby Road, as well as street resurfacing, street lighting, and crosswalk improvements.
At this time only the road is open, with the shared-use path expected to be finalized soon. While the roundabout is open, motorists should expect intermittent delays in the coming weeks as the contractor works to finish resurfacing, paving, and restoration of the site area.
Note: A small portion of Parkmeadow Lane just to the west of Cosgray Road will need to be closed for two weeks for full-depth pavement reconstruction. The work will take place in the coming weeks, but Cosgray Road will remain open during this period. The detour will access Woodsview Way for those entering and exiting that side of the neighborhood.
Thank you for your patience this summer, as we work to make our community safer and more efficient!
