Hilliard City Council is seeking applications to serve on the newly established Hilliard Housing Steering Committee.
This committee will focus on housing-related issues within the City, including evaluating current and future housing needs within the community and exploring opportunities to support a broader range of housing options.
The Housing Steering Committee will help guide a Hilliard-focused housing study conducted by Community Scale. The study, expected to take about one year to complete, will help inform housing recommendations that may be incorporated into future zoning code updates for the Planning Commission and City Council to consider.
The City is seeking residents, non-profit leaders, and subject matter experts to serve on the committee. The number of members appointed by City Council will be based on the level of community interest.
Selected committee members must be registered voters of the City of Hilliard or residents of Franklin County who have relevant subject matter expertise. All members will serve without compensation.
Interested individuals who are passionate about shaping the future of housing in Hilliard are encouraged to submit an application on the online portal.
The deadline for applying is 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, 2025.
