Truepointe ground breaking

Equity, in partnership with multi-family developer Milhaus, celebrated the Groundbreaking Ceremony for TruePointe, a $250 million mixed-use development, on Wednesday, July 19, at 4457 Trueman Boulevard.

Designed to be Hilliard’s first true live-work-play community, the 26-acre project will feature 42,000 square feet of high-end retail and restaurant space, luxury apartment buildings, surface and garage parking, and a 108-room hotel from a to-be-announced national chain on Trueman Boulevard just south of Davidson Road. The development will be surrounded by green space, miles of walking trails, a six-acre lake, a dog park, and fitness centers. The development will also offer 350,000 square feet of Class A office space on the last remaining land parcel fronting I-270 in Hilliard.

“Truepointe is a transformational project for Hilliard. As the City’s first mixed-use development, it brings a key combination of Class A office space, along with a variety of restaurant options unique to central Ohio. Add to that the quality housing, hotel and gathering spaces incorporated into the site and you end up with a vibrant urban environment that will attract a talented workforce to Hilliard and provide great amenities for our residents to enjoy,” said Hilliard City Manager Michelle Crandall.

M+A was brought on to serve as the lead architectural firm on the project, while MKSK is handling the landscape and environmental design. The project is expected to be fully completed and open in 2025.

“We are very excited about this project, the jobs it will create and preserve in Hilliard, along with the excellent housing and dining options it is bringing to the community. I’m looking forward to the grand opening in 2025,” said Equity CEO Steve Wathen.

“Equity has been a great partner throughout this project. Their service-based approach to clients and projects fits hand-in-hand with Milhaus’ customer service model, and this synergy has guided us through to TruePointe’s groundbreaking,” said Brad Vogelsmeier, Vice President of Development, Milhaus. “We’re excited to officially kick off construction.”

Guest speakers at the groundbreaking included Hilliard City Manager Michelle Crandall and Senator Stephanie Kunze (Ohio District 16), who presented a commendation to Equity.
