Experience “2020 Vision” at Hilliard’s State of City

Discover how the City of Hilliard will develop its “2020 Vision” at the State of the City presentation March 9.

The State of City will begin at 6 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 3800 Municipal Way, and will be followed by City Council’s regular meeting at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend or watch the live streamed presentation.

“A major initiative this year will be the collaboration by City Council and the Administration on a strategic plan that will identify priorities for the next three years,” said City Manager Michelle Crandall. “We will identify areas of need and opportunity related to economic development, financial sustainability, recreation and parks, transportation, utilities, police and safety, and public services. The ‘2020 Vision’ process, which will include significant opportunities for community and staff input, will be completed by the end of this year and will set our course of action for the coming years.”

In addition to Crandall’s overview of the “2020 Vision” process, the State of the City will include an overview of the City’s current and projected finances and an update on economic development efforts.

Other speakers will include Director of Finance David Delande and Director of Economic David Meadows.
