HPD Officers to Participate in ‘Polar Plunge’

Officers participating in the polar plunge

Members of the City of Hilliard Division of Police are prepping for the “chill of a lifetime” once again.

Several officers will be participating in the 2022 Columbus Police Plunge for Special Olympics as part of Team Blizzard Bobcats in support of Hilliard Special Olympics.

This year’s plunge will take place Feb. 5 at Alum Creek State Park in Lewis Center.

Officer Brandon Long, who serves as a coach with Hilliard Special Olympics, said it’s an event the athletes look forward to every year.

“This is a great way for us to connect with the program and our residents,” said Officer Long. “Rumor is Chief of Police Eric Grile may even take the plunge if we raise enough money — so we need your donation!”

The team consistently is ranked among top donors in the state. Support the Blizzard Bobcats be joining the team or donating here: https://www.classy.org/team/392766
