HPD welcomes LeMaster as first intelligence analyst

Lemaster Swearing In

The City of Hilliard Division of Police has welcomed Nicole LeMaster as its first Intelligence Support Analyst.

Chief of Police Michael Woods conducted the oath of office ceremony on Monday.

LeMaster joins the City with seven years of experience in the U.S. Navy as an intelligence specialist, supporting the Global War on Terrorism at duty stations in Maryland and Virginia. She was also deployed overseas to Montenegro and the United Arab Nations.

She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire and is pursuing a master’s degree in Intelligence Studies from the American Military University.

Chief Woods called the position a “force multiplier.” In her position, she will be working closely with officers to ensure efficient and thorough investigations.

The analyst will identify crime patterns in our community to provide directions to patrol officers, assist detectives with data mining, and generate crime reports that can be provided to the community, among other tasks.

“This position drew a lot of interest with a lot of talented and experienced individuals, but throughout the process Nicole distanced herself,” Chief Woods said. “She has the experience to do the work and the enthusiasm to start the process from scratch.”
