HPD at the Franklin County Fair

The annual Franklin County Fair is about more than fair food and carnival rides to the Hilliard Division of Police — it’s about tradition and interacting with the community.

Members of the Hilliard Division of Police command staff competed against the Norwich Township Fire Department in various farm activities. Natalie Riley, Support Services Coordinator, squeezed and chugged lemonade; Lt. Ron Clark husked and tossed corn into a cornhole board; Lt. Doug Lightfoot lassoed a wooden horse and Chief Bobby Fisher milked a wooden cow with utters.

It was a close (and hilarious) race, but HPD came out on top!

A few days later, HPD participated in Senior Day at the Franklin County Fair. Hilliard Police Chief Bobby Fisher and Norwich Township Fire Department Chief Jeff Warren called Bingo, a tradition that started many years ago. Attendees participated in a Christmas in July costume contest, clog dancing, live music and various livestock activities with 4-H members.
