Senior Citizens to be Recognized at Annual Hall of Fame Luncheon

Senior Hall of Fame inductee

The public is invited to attend the Senior Citizen Hall of Fame luncheon from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Senior Center, 3810 Veterans Memorial Drive.

During the 2019 luncheon, Hilliard Recreation and Parks Department will honor all previous inductees to the Senior Hall of Fame. The committee will re-recognize those residents age 65 or older who have made a lasting impact on their community.

For future nominations, the Senior Citizen Hall of Fame committee has adjusted the criteria to be nominated for the Hilliard Senior Hall of Fame and moved to a biannual induction ceremony that will allow current inductees to continue to be recognized by their community.

The new criteria include a lower age requirement to be nominated (inductees now only have to be 55 or older) and a longer timeframe to nominate inductees (nominations will now be accepted throughout the year, instead of during a limited timeframe).
