The day starts at 10 a.m. with the Fourth of July parade. The parade departs from the Franklin County Fairgrounds, proceeds to Main Street to Norwich, west on Cemetery Road to the Roundabout to Scioto Darby Road and ends at Memorial Middle School. Those interested in parade entry need to submit a Parade Registration to Parade Organizer, 5274 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio 43026 by July 1. The theme of this year’s parade is Be True to the Red, White and Blue and the Grand Marshall is Theresa Montgomery in honor of Norwich Township’s Bicentennial.
Join the conga line at this year’s July 4 festivities in Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park featuring live entertainment by The Parrots of the Caribbean, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band. The band begins playing at 6 p.m. after the parade awards. The Parrots of the Caribbean are sponsored by AAA, Pepsi and the Hilliard Arts Council.
The fireworks display starts at 9:45 p.m.
Get Your Ride On in Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park with Durant Enterprises Inc. The rides, games and food begin on July 3 at 5 p.m. Wristbands are $15 from 5-10 p.m. On July 4, a wristband is $10 from Noon-5 p.m. and $20 Noon-10 p.m., and $15 from 5-10 p.m.
