Electric Aggregation Opt-Out Letters Mailed to Residents

Go green

Residents of the City of Hilliard recently received letters from Dynergy Electric Provider in the mail.

On June 14, 2023, Hilliard City Council voted to have the City contract with Dynegy Energy Services as the provider for its green energy electric aggregation program, which was approved by voters in November 2022.

What you should know:

  • If you live in the City of Hilliard, you are automatically enrolled unless you have a contract with another provider or have already opted out
  • You will receive a fixed rate of 6.99 cents per per kWh through your September 2025 meter read for 100% renewable energy.
  • You may choose to opt in to the traditional (Brown) energy rate of 6.63 cents per kWh by calling
    (888) 682-2170. The deadline to opt out of electric aggregation is Aug. 4.
  • You will continue to receive one monthly bill from your local utility, AEP Ohio. You’ll notice that Dynegy will now show as a line item for the supply portion on your bill.
  • AEP Ohio will send you a confirmation letter after your enrollment is finalized.

Questions about the new electric aggregation program should be directed to Dynergy. Visit the Energy Alliances website or email ops@energyalliances.com for details and contact information.
